Dr. Jennifer H. Massa

 

Dr. Massa received her B.A. in Psychology from Villanova University and both her M.Ed. and Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Florida. While at UF, Dr. Massa obtained extensive training in cognitive behavioral therapy at UF’s Anxiety and OCD program affiliated with Shands Hospital. Dr. Massa's research emphasis was on examining how specific bullying behaviors influence long-term functioning.  Dr. Massa completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship in Child and Pediatric Psychology at the Texas Child Study Center affiliated with Dell Children's Hospital in Austin, TX and her post-doctoral fellowship at a group private practice in St. Petersburg, FL.

 

Dr. Massa's training has allowed her to work in a wide variety of settings (schools, outpatient clinics, hospitals, and private practices) with a wide range of populations. Dr. Massa incorporates consultation with medical and educational providers to ensure a multidisciplinary and integrated treatment approach is utilized.

 

Dr. Massa was born and raised in St. Petersburg and is very familiar with the school and hospital systems in the area. She is very excited about the opportunity to help those in the community where she grew up.
